i admit it, valis is a better angler than i am, but we still had a helluva lot of fun.. .

the fish are what we call kahawai and are just as scrappy as a comparable sized trout.. .

this isn't the biggest one today, but it is a good size for the pan.

50th birthday

had a great time tonight.

a good mate of mine had his 50th birthday party tonight up in the hills that form the backdrop for the shire.. it is summer here and the night was warm even without the brasier that lit up our party.. a local band kept us entertained with some really nice sounds.. what is it with women that they have to accidentally rub their loverly jubberlies all over you when they know your missus is away?.

anyway, it was a great night, and i wish my wife would enjoy doing a shindig like that for my next milestone.

i can't.. she is currently 'helping' someone in what i suspect is the same situation that the last (and only) person she has helped into the troof.. we love each other very much and i just have to learn how to keep my mouth shut.

i was brought up by fanatical jw parents and dropped out at 15, had a fling with it before armageddon (1975), just in case, but during that time we married and she took to the jws like a duck to water.

i dropped out.

a long time jw wife left her husband, an elder, recently.

when mrs sheep told me, i asked what happened.

the black clouds of mordor rolled over the hills of the shire behind our house and i rapidly withdrew to my cave.. later, i suggested, in wide eyed innocence, that she should give her a ring as she probably needs all the friends she can get at this time.
